Additive Manufacturing Development Engineer
One of the newest to join our team is Bau Nguyen, Additive Manufacturing Development Engineer.
Bau assists Steve Milanoski, Head of Advanced Manufacturing with additive manufacturing for sectors including aerospace, mining and defence. “I work on the Lasertec 65 (3D Printer), and I do modelling, simulations and printing parts,” says Bau.
Bau has excellent credentials for his role with Romar. “I graduated from materials engineering and mechanical engineering from the University of Singapore and worked for several organisations including Simtech Singapore and the National University of Singapore. I’ve worked in additive manufacturing for many years, since I first joined Simtec.”
Bau moved to Australia a few years ago, and he’s excited to have made the transition to Romar.
“I’m excited to be working in additive manufacturing with Romar. I love the working environment and I enjoy thinking about my tasks, planning work and solving problems.”
The team at Romar is another drawcard. “I love the people here and the company culture. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and it feels like a family.”
Bau will quite happily relax with friends, but his biggest passion is clearly his work. “I wanted to work in additive manufacturing even when I was growing up. I love additive technologies and I want to do my best for every project and customer.”
“It’s an exciting time to be here,” he adds. “I see a very bright future for advanced manufacturing in Australia.”
